Our client, a leading Asset Management firm, is looking for a Senior Project Manager. You will work in the team responsible for partnering with other business areas to deliver mission-critical, information-driven projects using your strengths in leading teams, collaborating to solve problems and driving for results. You will tackle multiple types of projects, some concurrently, and lead teams in a matrix environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead efforts to analyze and develop options to solve business problems working with business partners across various divisions.
- Partner with business and technology stakeholders to shape solutions through changes in strategy, organization, business processes, or technology solutions using critical and strategic thinking.
- Lead the planning stage of projects varying in complexity, size, and type. Create appropriate deliverables such as business case, change management strategy and the typical project management documents.
- Drive the successful execution of assigned projects to deliver business outcomes based on key drivers. Includes both traditional waterfall and agile delivery approaches
- Manage expected benefits, costs, and risks through collaboration with business partners.
- Assess organizational impacts and develops strategies to implement change management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 8+ years professional experience in project management and thought leadership responsibilities of significant scope and complexity
- Experience working in an Agile environment is highly desirable
- Proven success leading project delivery for various types of business and technology projects and/or programs spanning the full lifecycle from proposal development to post-implementation close-out.
- Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity and complexity while being able to adapt approach and demeanor in real time to match shifting business demands
- Experience working closely with senior business leaders to ensure that project and change delivery expectations are aligned, managed and met, developing and maintaining relationship across a broad group of stakeholders
- Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills with a diverse group of associates and business leaders.
- Proven ability to build high-performing project teams by effectively leading and providing work direction for others
